Comparando Google Chrome y Firefox 3.5 Rc3 en Ubuntu

Dado el lanzamiento oficial de Google Chrome (versión inestable) y de la Rc3 de Firefox 3.5, me puse a hacer la prueba de JavaScript de SunSpider. Quería comparar el V8 del ahora Chrome para Linux con el nuevo motor Java de Firefox 3.5.
Los resultados me sorpendieron. Debo confesar que soy un enamorado de Firefox, principalmente por la personalizción que puede aplicarse en él, algo que realmente utilizo y mucho. Pero no podemos desconocer que Chrome está muy por encima en velocidad que Firefox, incluyendo el rendimiento del motor JavaScript.

Sin embargo no todas son mala para la gente de mozilla, comercialmente están en un gran momento, incrementando su cuota de mercado (igual que Google Chrome), sino que técnicamente están teniendo grandes resultados con el nuevo navegador, ya que al realizar las comparaciones en el test de SunSpider, Firefox 3.5 está muy por encima de Firefox 3.0.11:

PD: La diferencia con los resultados dados por el Chrome, está en que el Chrome no me deja copiar y pegar el contenido, algo realmente extraño y molesto.
En conclusión, según los resultados de este test, Firefox marca una notable evolución respecto de su predecesor, Firefox 3.0.11; sin embargo, Chromium (ahora Google Chrome) se encuentra mejor posicionado en cuanto a velocidad y el manejo de Java Script se refiere.
